Sorry for responding late to your request regarding the skin editor. This landed on my desk while I have been traveling and, generally, very busy.
We have no problem with the skin editor being published. Quite frankly, my understanding of the legal matters involved here is very limited and I would rather not hold this up longer than I already have, so please accept a revocable permission.

Mac OS X The Skins zip-file will most likely be in the Downloads folder. Unzip the folder by double-clicking it. Open the unzipped folder, select all with the command Cmd + A, then copy them with Cmd + C. Once you open Live, go to the PreferencesLook/Feel with Cmd +, and choose your preferred. MAC: Right click on Ableton app icon show package contents app resources skins. Select skin in Live preferences. Do remember to transfer the skin over to any new Live.
