Digidesign CoreAudio Driver. Version 6.1.2 for Mac OS X 10.2.x 'Jaguar' October 9, 2003. Djay pro 2 serato pre cue. What is the Digidesign CoreAudio Driver? The Digidesign CoreAudio Driver v6.1.2 is a single-client, multichannel sound driver that allows CoreAudio-compatible applications to record and play back through the following Digidesign audio interfaces on Mac OS X 10.2.x. Has anyone here experienced issues with the Mbox Mini 2 as an interface? I've seen other blogs/answer strings that have mixed views on this interface. I have issues off and on with Live when using this as an interface (only one I use, though) and have always assumed it was a software issue. Maybe I'm wrong? Mar 02, 2012 A 10min introduction on the basic function, setup and use of the MBOX 2 USB audio interface. A 10min introduction on the basic function, setup and use of the MBOX 2 USB audio interface.

I have an MBox 2 and running currently live 7.0.14 osx (mac book pro) intel core 2 duo, version 10.5.7
AbletonWhat I want to do in ableton is use my mbox2 soundcard to use the cue option.
I go to the preferences , audio tab section and in the driver type section I see only the core audio option.(macbook sound card I guess) I don't see the driver for my mbox 2

However, in the audio input and output device I do see both selection to pick my mbox.

I select the digidesign mbox2 option for both audio input and output devices.
When clicking in input config it does give me the option channel 1/2 stereo and 3/4 stereo as well as the mono channels, however when clickin the output config it only gives me the 1/2 stereo and mono outputs.
I want to use 3/4 stereo outputs for my cue options and 1/2 for my master output.
Is this possible with the mbox2?, do I have something wrong in my macbook audio configuration? I recently installed pro tools le 8 and everything seems to be working with mbox2 drivers and software updated.
Please help
Thanks

Ableton

Sys. Info:
Mid-2009 13” MacBook Pro
1TB HDD, 4GB RAM
OS: 10.9 Mavericks
I’ve had a MBox 2 Mini since 2009. It comes with ProTools LE, but I’ve never been fond of Pro Tools, so I use Ableton (currently using Live 9 32bit).
I’ve always hooked my Mbox to my MacBook, so I can listen to iTunes, work in Ableton, listen to Serato on standalone mode, etc on my speakers through the MBox.
Up until last Friday, I wanted to listen to music again, and no sound was coming out. The green light turns on when I connect the MBox. I know my MacBook recognizes it because the volume icon on my menu fades out.
I disconnected the Mbox and reconnected it, same thing, no sound.
I went to preferences pane, and my MacBook indicates that the MBox IS connected.
I manually deleted all the MBox files from my mac and reinstalled the current MBox driver for MacBook, connected it………no sound.
I “reset” (troubleshooted) the MBox, still nothing.
I’ve been doing my research all weekend about this. Some say to reinstall my OS, I really REALLY don’t want to resort to that, that takes FOREVER. Some also say that MBox is only for ProTools, but that’s impossible because I’ve been using it with Ableton.
My first question is, what the hell could possibly be wrong with the MBox? I’ve never dropped it or damaged it since I got it, it’s like brand new.
I don’t want to get another interface if the same thing is gonna happen, so would it be my MacBook?

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
